Here is what was meant to be the rest of the shots in my collage. I was going to combine the nature shots with random in home shots, but I liked the nature shots too much so I divided them.

Do you know what kind of a factory it was smack dab in the middle of the woods? Is it a really old factory?

I think it is interesting that in all the gears and what not that there appears to be wooden statues. The color blends well together and the objects work in an artistic way within the collage. I noticed that the same theme is within the close-up of the tree and nail - metal and wood and again the colors blend. did you use any particular filters when taking the picture of the water/rock/leaf? What time of day did you take you pictures?

p.s I meant pipes, not gears. ;)

I really like the industrial theme of this collage - the rusty pipes, pencil sharpener, furnace hatch. And those faces are great too, very expressive and colorful. The angle of the cinder blocks works well too.

Travis,
To answer 'noir' - it could be if you look at how citizen kane, maltese falcon, etc. were filmed. I think more of the americanized idea of 'noir' rather than the german and french idea of it though given the definition of it. :) (in regard to b&w foot).

Travis, Great collage!! I love the antiques. It's all so old school with the crank pencil sharpener and typwriter. Where is this place?? Your nail photo is good too. I also notice that sometimes when I take pictures I see things in the photo that I didn't see with my bare eyes.
